There, I said it. Merry Christmas. Not Happy Holidays, or some other ultra PC mustn't upset the $minority bullshit. I am not even Christian (I'm an athiest if you want to know), but to me this is Christmas even though I am not celebrating the supposed birthday of some person who may or may not have existed, the Winter Solstice or even the re-birth of Yule, the north european pagan sun god (look it up).
For me it is a time of reflection over the past year, making plans for the next, getting together with friends and family and having a damned good time. Yes we pass around gifts, have a few drinks and eat ourselves stupid, but it's not an overtly religious experience.
For those in the group who do not have christian relgious beliefs they are made to feel as welcome as those who do. Even those, like me, who do not believe at all are made to feel welcome and wanted. I hope that you, whatever your race, creed or calling, have a peaceful, happy christmas and can look forward to a good year.
